In light of the recent and ongoing outbreak of the (Covid-19) Coronavirus, Computer Repair UK would like to reassure our business clients and home users that we have put additional steps in place.

We have put together a number of measures designed to make health and safety a top priority whilst still enabling customers to have their machines repaired efficiently and safely.

We have made some changes to the way our technicians visit you. We now have a “contact free” collection and delivery service for all repairs. We would ask you to have your machine ready, unplugged with all cables by your door if one of our technicians is personally collecting it, otherwise if you have arranged a courier, we ask for the machine to be packaged well and sent to one of our technicians directly (details will be given upon booking). We will however, at first instance try and repair your machine remotely if this can be done.

We usually require a signature on our digital collection forms when taking your equipment back to our workshop, now we will be temporarily signing it on your behalf to avoid unnecessary contact via hand-held devices. This will only happen when the customer opens the door and gives their name for security reasons. The technician will stay at least two meters away. You will however have already been told our terms over the phone when booking the appointment prior to our visit and would have verbally agreed to our T&Cs. If your machine is being collected via courier then we will ask these details are given to us over the phone prior to booking the repair in.

Listed below are the measures we have put in place to ensure that our workshop and office environments are safe:

Hands are washed before and after contact with machines although all technicians are wearing protective gloves at all times when handling machines.

Workshop areas are disinfected after each repair has been completed.

We will continue cleaning the office and workshop areas to our usual high standard and use anti-bacterial spray-on door handles, handrails, and other areas of multiple contact.

We will continue this practice throughout the day and all areas of contact are cleaned with anti-bacterial products between jobs.

Our office based team are making sure the card machines are cleaned regularly using anti-bacterial wipes.

Stay safe and look out for those around you.

On behalf of everyone at Computer Repair UK.
